Although I was religious as a child, I set aside my beliefs at the age of 21. I spent most of my career working as a psychiatrist in community mental health clinics in some of the poorest areas of New York City. I was fascinated by hypnosis and used it to help some of my patients. Around the age of 40, while practicing self-hypnosis to deepen my understanding of trance, I met a spirit guide and became interested in spirituality. After my own life between lives regression work and training with the Michael Newton Institute, I set aside my traditional practice of psychiatry to help others explore the fascinating spiritual dimension that I encountered. I have just completed writing a book Decoding the Spiritual Messages of Everyday Life which has been published by Sterling Publishing in the fall of 2009. I am a clinical social worker trained in individual, family and hypno-therapy. I have always had deep spiritual beliefs but realized through my work that there is another layer to human beings that is ignored in traditional therapy, our spiritual part. I have found that many of the symptoms and problems that a person has don't have to do with this life but come from another life. Both need to be taken into account in order to make sense of our lives and come up with effective solutions to the issues that interfere with our happiness. I was trained in hypnosis by the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis, by Henry Bolduc in past life regression and the Michael Newton Institute in life between lives regression.
